Some of you may be unaware of the following.....

In Much Marcle there was a survey carried out by the Church in Much Marcle. This was taken in 1828 and 1838....In 1828 the survey shows who is living where and the info is similar to a census.

In 1838 the info is excellent......It gives all of the family whether they live there or not. For example if there were 3 daughters and they married....it gives their married names and where they live.

I believe this was carried out in Much Marcle only.

The original survey is kept at the Hereford Record Office...and I received photocopies of my lot yesterday. (Evans and Baker)
