Hi Guys

I'm looking for a John BAKER born abt 1778 living in Manton.  I assume he is on his own as his wife died in 1850 aged 70.

I think I have found him at the Oakham Workhouse 2092 248 aged 73.

Can someone give me some more details please.

From the 1851 Census image it states place of birth as
LYDDINGTON Rutland
Whilst this is a Village in its own rights situated just south of Uppingham.
Just wonder if it should be LYDON which is the next village  to the east of Manton. ?
Depends how the Enumerator could spell & write
