Is there any way to access old copies of the Bathgate
Courier online ? By "old" I mean early 1900's.

I'm pretty sure it's not been digitised. Ancestry.com doesn't have it.
The Newsplan 2000 project ran from 2001 to 2005, with Lottery funding to microfilm local British newspapers. See

Unfortunately the Bathgate Chronicle is not on the list.
I think the idea is to get more funding for a second phase of the project, adding more titles. But it'll take a few years, I'd think.

Kit sorry I took so long to get back to you. I emailed the courier Office still waiting on reply. Anyway I was having a good tidy out of my house as you do when you have time of work. I came across a leaflet on West Lothian Local History Library. The Bathgate Courier is actually called West Lothian Courier.
It says to searched online at www.westlothian.gov.uk and click on Libraries
The first three Newspapers are Indexed and can be searched on line
West Lothian Courier 1873 to date
Linlithgow Gazette 1891 to date
Mid Lothian Advertiser 1906 - 67
