Where can I obtain records for someone who spent time at the Swaffham House of Correction in 1827? Crime was housebreaking and he was sentenced to one year. Name: William COBLE (also known as Covell)
"looking for records information on a convict be the of William Coble in 1827 was at Swaffham House of Correction, Norwich Castle in 1833 for Highway Robbery on 19 March 1833 trying to fine his Perants." ------------------
sorry can't help you with records, other than trying a local paper
I have found out quite a lot already for researchers in Australia about this person.

No I have corresponded with you before!!! But yes, I have emailed OzyBob before, but am trying to confirm that the person who was sent to Swaffham and consequently transported, is the same as the one that came out - seeing there is a difference in the name - Coble and Covell. He was not able to provide me with any more information than I already had.
Cheers Karen
ps. Is Norwich Castle and the Swaffham House of Correction one and the same?
