Census information Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

Hi, I am looking for any help to find the mother of Lucinia (Lucinda) DOLBEY, who was )apparently) baptised on 9 Nov 1828 in Alverstoke HAMPSHIRE. I believe her father was John DOLBEY, but I do not have any idea of who her mother was. John re-married in 1830, so Lucinia's mother must have died before then. John, his second wife and their children emigrated to Australia in 1836, where John worked as a shoemaker. Any help at all would be very welcome

Hi Lulu
Lucinda Dolby baptised 9 Nov 1828 Alverstoke, parents John & Margaret Dolby
No others show up with the same parents.
But oddly enough, I cannot find a burial for Margaret or anything like it.

Oops - my typing is obviously slower!

Hi, what an amazing site! Thank you all so much for these pieces of information! This is incredible! I think that Margaret's death may not have been in Hampshire. I have details of an older sibling for Lucinia, named Margaret (must be after her mother!) and her birth is supposed to have been in Dover, Kent, in 1825/1826, but not proven, yet. I had found this all odd before, because why would they be in Kent, then Hampshire and then Kent, but it is starting to look like this is probably true! thanks again..
Now to find the marriage and then death of the mother.
WOW!
