Notification of replies to some of my topics or PMs are taking 4/5 days to arrive, others arrive within a few minutes of being posted.

Is this a problem with Rootschat or my ISP?
Meanwhile my apologies to anyone who is still waiting for a reply.

It's just that I receive notification (5 days late) that I have a reply to a message or a PM only to find that there is nothing there because I have probably read it already.

Yep, that's happening to me too.  I wonder why?

And, interestingly, I have received about 6 separate notifications for replies suppoesedly posted to the "Rootschat Meet No 3" thread (I orignally started that one!!), and when I went to read the replies there weren't any Huh Huh

Hopefully some RC techy will know the answers.

Has this problem been sorted?  I am having rather bizarre notifications or lack of them.  I don't seem to receive any notifications of topics that I have left messages in, but am receving notifications of posts that I am interested in.  Well sort of.  There is one which only seems to send me a notification AFTER I have read the post!  Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.

Hi Jan,

I  remember splitting a reply from this thread to make it a separate topic.
so the sequence of events was this:

- someone replies
- notifications get sent out (automatically)
- I see the reply, decide it doesn't belong here and move it
- You see your notification, go to investigate and find nothing.

Sometimes notifications will also be sent because of moving / merging / splitting

Personally I have turned all notification OFF and just use the
Show new replies to your posts.  link at the top of the page.
