COTTAGE HOTEL, LYNTON in Second World War, 1940-41

Hi,
Could someone tell me whether The Cottage Hotel, Lynton was operating normally as a guest-paying hotel in The Second World War.  It's just that my gt-grandmother died there in Jan 1941, the death reported by her sister-in-law, who gave her address as this hotel on my gt-grandmother's will of Aug. 1940 through to the probate on it in March 1941.
Would anybody know who actually owned or ran this hotel in 1940-41?
