Greetings from Queensland, Australia! Could someone please look for the following person in 1901 Essex census. (In 1891 census, she was living at Salisbury Avenue, Stanford le Hope, with parents JOHN & CHARLOTTE HOLLIDAY, and brothers ALBERT and WALTER. In 1901 census, her father is a widower living at the same place with daughter LOIS HOLLIDAY and niece ANNIE PEARD. But no MARY HOLLIDAY!) Her details - LILY MARY HOLLIDAY; b.June qtr. 1879 Bulphan, Essex. Perhaps by 1901 she has married? She came out to Australia (so I'm told) in 1910 for health reasons. Any help would be very much appreciated. Carol
I can't find her on the 1901 so perhaps she did marry. What was her surname when she came to Australia as you can now search the full GRO index yourself free of charge at http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx Choose “Complete BMD Index Ranges & Images 1837-1983 The partial index (freebmd) can also be searched on the same website or at http://freebmd.rootsweb.com
Hello Carole, I haven't found her entry into Aust. as yet. Her family say it was 1910, and assume she was LILY MARY HOLLIDAY. I've found a marriage in 1920 of a LILY MARY COOPER to a Mr. Bartinetti. But, as yet, can't confirm if that's her. Her grandson will apply for some certificates when he returns from holidays. Carol
