Hi
Please can someone look up this chap for me?
I am trying to trace John Dobson who married Faith Chapman in Hull in 1845. I have found him on various censuses (censi?) and am given to believe that he was born c1818 in Edinburgh, which my naff geography suggests is in Midlothian, Scotland.
The John Dobson I have found on an Ancestry search is born abt 1816 in Scotland and by 1841 is living in Cumberland, and I am hoping that he has something to do with being a dealer in woollen cloth, or drapery.
Could you please look him up and post the relevant details?
