Hi
I have a real conundrum here!
It concerns George henry Wigston b1853,
parents henry Wigston and Martha Ann.
George married Eliza Kibby - my great grandmother in 1872 - so just missed the census that time.
On the census returns by 1881 George is back home and stays there.
No sign of wife or family.
Eliza did have a son Joseph Henry Kibby b 1880 (seems to have been named for both his grandfathers)
but he has his mother's surname.
Eliza then went on to meet Edward Plunkett and they had Edward b 1890 in Sheffield. My Grandfather.
I wonder if George and Eliza had other children that I haven't found
and is there any way I can find out about them between census returns?
There must be descendants of the Wigstons that might recognise this branch of the family!
look forward to hearing from somebody!
