I would hate to be a burden but am trying to locate irish family an history.

I live in Australia and my great grandfather's name was michael murray, he was born in Athlone/ county westmeath and his fathers name was Thomas Murray.

Michael was married to a Martha Ryan (? limerick ancestry) in sydney on 2nd april 1888. They lived and died in sydney. They also had a tribe of kids, one, Annie Vanessa Murraywas my grandmother, she died in 1983 or 1984 age 88. Longevity has been introduced into the family from the murrays as they all live into their 80's and 90's.

I believe the "last" relative in athlone died a couple of years ago and her name was Patricia (Pat) Murray.

Michael must have travelled to australia prior to 1888, there is no record as to whether his father ever came to australia or lived and perished in ireland.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated, it is not easy tracing family over 20,000 kilometers.
