I am seeking the maiden surname of the Mother of a Philemon Best,born abt 1770 (IGI) in St Stephens in Brannel.

The only reference I can find is that his parents were Richard and Mary Best. Richard Best is of my BEST line, but trying to tie in Mary Best and what her maiden surname was and any other details of her.

I have two candidates for Mary Best, One is Mary Stick of St Stephens in Brannel and the other is a Mary Collins of Bodmin.

I believe their details may be in the NON CONFORMIST indexes and would appreciate some help.
Philemon Best was Baptised as an adult in 1801 and married Frances Varcoe the same year. Philemon and Frances are buried in the St Dennis Churchyard.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
