I AM RESEARCHING THE NAME "RILEY" IN THE LANCASHIRE AREA, SO FAR MY FAMILY SPREADS FROM BOLTON .PENDLETON ECCLES AND PRESTON. IF ANYONE THINKS THEY MAY HAVE A CONECTION WITH MY TREE OR CAN HELP IN ANY WAY I WOULD LOVE TO MAKE CONTACT AS I AM NOW STUCK ON MY RESEARCH

I have found the following Marriages for Robert Riley which took place in Preston which could be worth some investigating !

These records would be held at Bow Street Preston where you could view the records to identify the father. This is easily in walking distance from the train station.
A possible connection to Preston and Pendleton could have been the cotton mills ! It would be interesting to know of Roberts trade during this time.
I feel it is quite possibe that Robert's father would have travelled for the Wedding in Pendleton.
