I would like to hear from anyone else who has a connection to the 3 MENZIES brothers who settled in Newark Nottinghamshire around 1841-1845, they came from Dumfriesshire. John ( my gt gt grandfather) Master Draper, Robert and Thomas both Tea Dealers then Grocers.

Hello, Dorothy
I've already tried twice to get in touch (through links on other sites where you've posted pleas for info) - I'm hoping for more luck this time!
I'm a Watkins by marriage and my husband's great great grandfather was Thomas Menzies, whose daughter Selina married Edwin Watkins in 1882.
Please, please get in touch - we'd love to hear from you as I think we can probably fill some gaps in each others research!
Looking forward to hearing from you soon....
Lisa

Hello Lisa,
Many apologies - I have now read your posting!
I am descended from John MENZIES, the older brother of Robert and Thomas MENZIES. I have a lot of information on the MENZIES line from 1841 onwards at Newark, but very little going back from then!
I have changed from my btinternet email to ntlworld.com so perhaps this is why some of the links are not working, I have tried to update them.
I am away this weekend visiting my son but will be in touch when I get home again.
Apologies again!
Dorothy
