Hi
     reached one of those can't see the wood for the trees moments - or should I say see the Robertson for the Robertsons.  Trying to find the death date for a John Robertson born, I think, Knockando 1814/15 (also after his parents).  I know he married a Marjory (May) Munro in 1841 at Knockando.  She was born in 1814 to Rev. John Munro  (the spa crowd).  She died in 1872 in Elgin.  I have John alive in 1881 Census living at F M House of Milnefield, Linkwood Road, Elgin age 67 - timber merchant.  Also there his children - John age 38, Jessie age 37, Alexander age 35 and Ann age 32 - all single.  When, where did John senior die?  That is the question!

Any help suggestions greatfully received.

Sorry I don't have the date of death of John Robertson for you.
However, I did find on the LDS Site that John Robertson was born on May 4, 1813 in Knockando, parents Alexander and Janet Robertson.  There are 2 marriages listed for an Alexander & Janet R. - one being May 4, 18ll and one being Sep. 4 1811 in Knockando. Don't know which one is correct.

Alexander Robertson born Feb. 18 1785 in Knockando, parents being John Robertson and Isabel Roy.

Hope this is of some interest to you.
