Swally,
This isn't quite the finished product but an update on what I am doing.
I had to put the tables in because yor grandparents and g.grandparents were cut off at the legs and to try and put legs on them would have been almost impossible. Also because your brother and his wife were photographed from a higher angle than the grandparents, I had to bring them to the front - otherwise they would have looked very un-natural.
If this is okay, let me know nd I shal finish the job.

Denn,

we are nearly there mate.
Could you make it look as tho they were all at a family wedding and having their picture taken as a group?
See if this helps-
My brother far left (Tom) bring him and his wife up closer to my mother & father even have my fathers right shoulder just in front of her
Have myself (far right) just tucked slightly behind my aunt.
Have my grandfather (bottom row left) bring his head upto just below my father's chest.
My Great Grandfather (bottom row right) invert this picture so his wife is on his left and bring his head upto the chest of my uncle Leslie.
Invert my brother Les (very bottom) so his wife Carole is on his right and move him to the far right of the picture.  This would mean Carole would tuck just under my wife
It may be an idea (I know that you aren't finished just yet) to make the shades of the suits of the guys quite alike.

I know that this is a great deal of work.......but hey! look at what I am teaching you......all for free.....lol ........only kidding.

Best of luck,

Swally,
Here is where we are at now, I cant bring your g/grandfather any higher without his wifes hat hiding your brothers wife. as for making the suits match, unfortunately the darker suits lack any detail and when I use the match colour command they become washed out.

You got it right, Denn.   I adopted the blue footed booby as a  mascot years ago, after a comment  along the lines of  "That looks like you dancing!"

Dancing like nobody's watching is the only way   Grin

Denn,

you are doing a fab job,

Would it be possible to lift myself up a tad so I am about heights with my uncle Leslie?
bring my brother's wife (far left) in front of my father and make them a bit taller as my brother is taller than my father.
I think the scale of my great grandfather is a tad too big as he looks a good big broader than my granda.
My brother Les, i think is a wee bit too big also.
Here is a suggestion,  I don't know if you could super impose steps, if that was a possibility you could step the back row up a tad and this would enable you to move my brother Les in along the front along side my great granda.

What about this suggestion with regards to colour, if you colourised the suits just a touch different  it then returned it to black and white would that not do away with the washed out look?

I wouldn't mind seeing it with a bit of colour that might just distract the eye enough to make it look like the one picture.
Have you tried it with the Calderhead Parish Church as a backdrop?

I honestly don't think that you are far away from bang on Denn, keep up the brilliant work.

Swally,
Hope the people are where you wanted them, I managed to put the church in but had to distort it - otherwise only the very top would have been visible. Regarding the suits, the reason they would be washed out is because of lack of detail, so any amount of colouring would only make it worse - I would suggest to leave them as is

Denn,

fantastic job there pal, could you just down size my great granda a tad and apart from that I think it is smashing.  I think the veiw you had in the background may be better.  If you could E-mail me a copy so as I can print it off full size I would be obliged.

Thanks very much Denn, a talented Gentleman right enough.

Cheers for that
