I think that William COBB b1841 got married in 1862, So I'm hoping that someone can find him with his parents (and siblings) in earlier census records.
I think that his mother may be called Hannah, as she was living with him in 1901.
Also, Elizabeth ULYATT (b1841 - on two census out of three!)
Thanks in advance

Thanks both to Darcy and Chairlady, much help there!
Anyone have anything for the 1861 census? - to confirm when they married?

Thanks for that. I didn't want to post the 1841 and 1861 census in case I was wrong.
Posting soon

Darcy, no problem.
I really appreciate the lookups - though I often wonder how on earth I can repay the kindness other rootschatters have paid me!
I do keep an eye on the lookup requests for where I live though

it's a Labour of Love - we enjoy it.
You have an extra one here - possibily Levi's mother? - but I have a problem with Levi's name. It looks a bit like Lucy - but I think it's Leevy.
1841 Census Newark
Cross Guns Yard
Mary Cobb, 56, born in the county Leevy?, 20, born in the county Hannah, 15, born in the county William, 1, born in the county.
Just remember that the ages of the adults are usually rounded down to the nearest 5 on the 1841.

Thank you SOOOOO much!

Mary Cobb, 56, born in the county Leevy?, 20, born in the county Hannah, 15, born in the county William, 1, born in the county.
I'll guess that Mary is his mother until I get a birth cert.
Hannah is his wife on other census records.
Excellent! Thanks again

I think at least one of the other occupants in that 1841 census for Levi Cobb may be important...
William Hall 41 lab Y Mary Hall 49 N? Henry Hall 11 Y Ann Newton 75 N

Heather B,
thanks - I think that the 75 year old may be important - As BMD records don't go back that far, how would you recommend I proceed?

Well this is where it gets trickier
As usual, lovely Rootschatters have come up trumps with a lot of info. Best thing to do right now I guess is put together all the information you have and try to decide what you need to know next.
If you post your queries one at a time, we'll all have a go! if you're following both lines, then personally I'd get hold of Elizabeth Ulyatt's birth certificate to find her mother's name as I can't immediately see a marriage that fits.... though I have my suspicions she was also known as Elizabeth. I can expand on that one if you like but the birth cert. would confirm it either way!

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site so please forgive me if I get things wrong. Levi Cobb was my G.G Grandfather and Hannah my G.G Grandmother. I have quite a lot of info on the Cobb line but don,t know the best away to get it to any one. I also have a lot of info on the Ulyatt line upto 1776.

Hi Jacko
Welcome to Rootschat.
Hopefully everyone who contributed to this thread should read your message, but if you need to send a personal message to anyone just click on the little green scroll (next to baby's face) on the person's thread you want to send it to.
I am actually doing some research for a friend who lives in Greece and the family name is ULYATT so I may be getting in touch with you later.
