Hi Anthony,

I think you may have posted this on the wrong message board. Kilbeggan and Tyrrelspass are in Westmeath (I noticed because I am tracing ancestors in both Wexford and Westmeath myself) !

Are you related to James Joseph Daly of Tyrellspass who was executed for his part in the Connaught rangers Mutiny in 1920?
regards.

Dear Tom

I am pleased to tell you that Peter Daly has telephoned me from Tyrellspass near Kilbeggan and has examined the Parochial records to find my Father grand Father and Great grandfather  all Martin Daly's. He had a lot of anecdotal background material and telephoned me three times.  He has given me the names and address of my first cousin  and I am planning to visit Ireland in April May next year.

I have yet to make the connection between my Grand parents  Martin J Daly and the James Daly landowner and his defendants   but I believe it is there.

Peter also found the records of my parents marriage so now I can begin the research for my mothers family in Kent UK

So my several roots chats  about Tyrellspass   The Indian Mutiny  The farm  has born fruit

Thanks to everyone who answered and contributed..

Anthony
