Can you please help me My family come from the Consett area? my Dad Maurice Parkin was (b) at Benfieldside on the 24 May 1926 (d) 16 September 1997 he married a Joan Armstrong on the 5/6/1948, Joan (B) 20 Joicey Terrace, Ox Hill, West Stanley,County Durham, 22 March 1927 (d) 5 February 1997, Dads parents where Marthew Parkin (b) Consett on 12.9.1893, (d) at Billingham 12 May 1960, he had two other brothers and one sister, Jonathon 1895, Norman (b)1904, Lena (b) 1908, Matthews parent where Goerge Parkin (b Etherley Moor on the 26 April 1866 (d) 11 October 1951 he married Kate Cleminson on the 16 May 1891 Kate was (b) 21 August 1867 at Byers Green, George's parents where Matthew Parkin (b) 21 August 1840 (d) 1897 married Jane Anne Inman on the 29 July 1865 Anne was (b) 1841, Matthew's parents Johnathon Parkin (b) 1820 (d) 1898 married on the 2 May 1840 to Dorothy Embleton(b) 1822 (d) 1887, Jonathons parent's Matthew Parkin (b) 1789 (d) 1837 married on the 7 October 1809 to Mary LInsley (b) 1789 (d) 1868 after Matthew's death she remarried a John Brittain, Matthew perent's where Goerge Parkin (b) 1755 (d) 1829 ( i have not got whom he married) his parents where William Parkin only date i have is Marriage to Ann Steadman married on 6 January 1753.
That's as far as i have got so far.
