I am attempting to gather information on  the family of Thomas and Jane Davin.(1790-1792) Their children were James, Jane, Anthony and Patrick, as far as I know. There may have been others. James was the eldest. Jane was born approximately 1825. She married  Bernard Duggan and had two children, John and Margaret born 1842-1851, in Galway. Bernard Duggan had relatives in South America((Argentina?) that were quite wealthy.  Documents suggest John Duggan emmigrated in 1851 on the Chiefton. After Bernard Duggan's  death,his wife Jane Davin Duggan, married Hugh Colgan and resided in New York. Jane and Hugh Colgan had five children. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I think the Duggans you refer to must be the Duggan brothers who became very wealthy wool traders in Argentina. There is some of information on them on various internet sites. I know of them because a Scottish Macdonald relative of mine who was  a cattle breeder in Argentina had children who also married into that family.
I'll see what I can find on them for you although I suppose they are not really the main object of your research!
All the best

Looks like these Duggans were from Ballymahon, Co. Longford.
Heres just a few links with references to them;
