Help I have been stuck for 5 years looking for Hannah SMART who gave birth to Harry Smart in Bromham in 1771/1772. He was baptised at Bromham church on 22/1/1772 and was listed as base -born. There are no bastardy orders listed  and there is only one Hannah Smart in the records who would have been about 9 years old unless she baptised later in childhood. Any one any ideas

 Hi sues cheryle.f here....when i get really stuck for 1700's problems i end up sorting through hits from familyhistoryonline.com and sometimes can be really successfull. I dont know if youve used this site before ,it is pay to view but as long as you sift through and have abit of info beforehand it need not cost alot.There is actually info on 128 smarts 1n 1700 and 1800 and alot of them are hannahs....for example Hannah Smart died 1817 age 63 buried 26oct 1817 Parish of Melksham Wiltshire ..Wife of john Smart...Quakers in Wiltshire...good luck cheryle
