It might be worth checking out Aberdeen and NE Scotland FHS for MIs. Genuki:

http://www.abdnet.co.uk/genuki/BAN/Gamrie/index.html

has this:

Quote
The parish of Gamrie has a number of burial grounds. Aberdeen And North-East Scotland FHS (ANESFHS) holds unpublished Monumental Inscriptions for Gamrie St John's and Gamrie New (both near Gardenstown), as well as Doune, Macduff.

Hi Jim, I have this family, George is the son of Lauchlan McEachran, my GGGGGrandfather,
On his death certificate it states he was a Chelsea Pensioner, I am trying to find out details about this,
I Have the death certificate of another brother James, on which he states his father Lauchlan, was a Salmon Fisher.
Christian Shand(lauchlans wife)  on her certificate it only states a Widow, I was hoping that it might give me more information about Lauchlan.
Lauchlan was dead before 1841 as on the Census Christian was a Widow.
I was hoping that if I could trace George's death, either from a certificate, or the burial entry, I might gleen another clue!!
Sorry for such a wordily posting.

Yonder.

Hi Yonder,

I was hoping the names might be your family somewhere down the line.
Check out Gadget's entry.  It's a very good idea.

Good hunting,

Don't worry - I thought it was ever so funny  Cheesy

Hope you find something - maybe get to the Aberdeen and NE Scotland website - they might have contact details, etc. Problem will be if they don't have a gravestone. Then it's available 'lair books'  Sad

Gadget -still laughing - no pills Grin
