Moved this to its own thread as I felt I was hijacking Stainless's thread.

Maybe a 'Mod' can delete this for me as I don't see a way to do it myself.

Cheers.

Does either John Ferguson, innkeeper, and Peter Blair belong to anyone?

part of an advert in the Caledonian Mercury newspaper dated 28th August 1802

<<Sale of Tann Pits, Etc. at Thornhill, near Doune, County of Perth'

Upon Tuesday, the 5th day of October next, at one o'clock afternoon, there will be exposed to SALE, within the house of John Ferguson, innkeeper at Thornhill.
That piece of land lying to the west end of said Village, with the whole TAN-PITS and houses there, as formerly advertised, and now to be sold at a reduced price for the benefit of the Creditors of Peter Blair, late of Norriestoun.>>
