William Owen Griffiths b1898 railway steward
« on: Thursday 31 August 06 07:05 UTC (UK) »

Hi heres another 2 quality photos from my family collection.  I think the badge says railway steward as he worked on the railways for 48 yrs, his father also did 49 yrs service both in Conwy Valley, he lived at Railway Cottages in Betws y Coed and was a choirboy too in St Mary's Betws.  My grandfather, husband to Catherine Mary Jones photos.

Anyone fancy colourisng please?
regards Gareth

Hi Penny my dad says its just perfect how it is but I think it should have a touch of red and blue on those badges.  One says railway steward and the other is a traditional set of 'ich dien' Welsh feathers.  See what you think?

Thanks Penny
That looks fine now to me unless there are some rail enthusiasts out there who know this badge in a different guise, I have some of his railway badges but this one isnt in there.  The brass one looks good too good idea.
Thanks again for your hard work on these photos.
kind regards Gareth
