1851 Census Downley, High Wycombe - please
« on: Thursday 04 November 04 11:52 UTC (UK) »

Hello, PLease could someone look up this man for me:

THOMAS HENRY COX p.o.b. DOWNLEY circ 1844 - father William Cox

I have been stuck on him for about ten years!  Huh On the 1881 LDS his pob is transcribed as Downey. On the source it looks like Boveney/Dorney/Downey so I am looking at all of theses places. I have not found him on BMD yet.  If you can find him I will be forever indebted!  Cheesy
I can trace him from 1865 Esher- marriage, then 1881,91 Cookham ,which is not far from Downley.
many, many thanks in advance ...Katy Cox...happy hunting

Frances, thank you very much for your reply. My first reaction was no - that's not my man but you never know in family history...The details will be much appreciated.
Thank you once again...Katy Cox
