Could anyone help me find William Robinson born in St Andrew the Less around 1827. The only trace I have of him is his marriage in 1847 and (I think) his death in 1856. Thanks.

Are you sure he died in 1856, could he have died before?

If he married in 1847, there is a marriage for William Robinson ( Cambridge)
Also on same page is a Harriet Petts (amongst others).
Therefore it might follow so...

1851 Census  HO107/1760  713/28
Abbey Street, Holy Trinity, St Andrew, Cambridge.

Harriet Elizabeth Robinson  head  widow  25 Labourers widow  Cambridges., St Andrew the Less
Sarah Ann Petts                  sister     u        15                                      "
Susan Sarah Robinson         dau                  1                                       " Trinity
John Pett Robinson              son  3weeks                                              "

There is a possible death for a William in Mar 1851 Cambridge.

This might be completely wrong of course!

Edmund Collyer  25     milkman   y
Anne    "             35                     y
William Robinson  15    m. s         y

Unfortunately as Robinson is quite a common name  again it may not be him.
