Folk in an Elkesley photo
« on: Sunday 03 September 06 21:24 UTC (UK) »

In the Welchman photo archive at Retford labelled: 'Powell, Elkesley, about 1914'  -

http://www.bassetlawmuseum.org.uk/projects/bassetlaw.asp?page=photo&itemId=RETBM%20:%20e16593

The two girls may be daughters of John Powell - he had at least 4. In 1901 there were Ada, Ruth, Annie, Mary. Does anybody recognise them?

The photo archive is interesting - have a look.

Thanks for the link. It covers many places apart from North Notts too. I have had a quick look but need to spend more time. May be really useful.
