Doesn't Little Otterspool sound lovely? It conjures up all sorts of mental pictures of a rural idyll with frolicking otters! 
It may well have been that way in your Grandmother's day, but sadly today the only Otterspool in the area that I am aware of is Otterspool Way. This is very much a urban built up area with not an otter in sight!!! 
It now comes under Watford.

Hi there is or was an Otterspool , part of the old Wall Hall training college near Watford when I was a student there in the 60's. It was part of the Wall Hall estate once owned by Pierrepoint Morgan, American banker? I think it is now a Uni. Marton
