Not sure yet if there is a link with my Fife Steedmans who lived Kinghorn/Kirkcaldy/Abbotshall/Linkstown (and possibly Aucherderran before that) but will check things out.
My reply was also delayed because of my trip home to Scotland. What a popular holiday destination! Hope you enjoyed your trip as much as I did mine.

In Kinglassie churchyard though is a couple of Blacks:
Bell Craig from Raleu...........Alex BLACK............ Gilles Inglis; her lyes the dust of Alex Black 31/1/1784, 3; (Alex) Black 23/4/1786 (6 or 9m)...........the dust of 4 children; James 8trs, Gorg, 8, Elisabeth 6 at one....... Gilly Black 3 yers, Desmber 3 day 1795 (Transcribed as written)
