The baptism of the younger James is on the BVRI2.
18th June 1837 at Godmanchester, parents James and Ann Samworth.  It also gives a birthdate of 3rd March 1837.

Censuses suggest that James senior was dead by 1841 and the FamilyHistoryOnline website's burials index suggests a James Samworth was buried in Huntingdonshire in 1837.  No further details are given without paying.
