Hi
Wondering if anyone out there with access to these PRs would be kind enough to have a quick look for the family of Thomas and Caroline JACKSON. In particular there is a child on the 1851 census whose name is impossible to read. It is a female born about 1843 in Washingley, Huntingdonshire. Others should be Harriet 1835, Edward 1836, William 1838, Kitty 1840, Susannah 1841 and Mary 1844.
Many thanks to anyone who can help with this family.
Cheers Karenlee

Hi, I too am interested Washingley and have learnt that, as there is no church in Washingley, many residents used Lutton which is now in Northants. Unfortunately, they will not release their records from the church and so I will have to go to Northants. record office for Bishops Transcripts.

Welcome to Rootschat
Genuki says that Washingley used Folksworth and Caldecote parish churches, although they're only slightly closer than Lutton.
Bishops Transcripts for Lutton have been filmed by the LDS so are available for ordering and viewing at your nearest Family History Centre of the LDS, if one is closer to you than Northampton.
Folksworth and Caldecote have both been transcribed by Hunts FHS and are available for purchase on microfiche, although neither has been filmed by the LDS
Which names are you looking for? If registered in either Caldecote or Folksworth marriages up to 1837 are available on Hunts Marriage Index, and burials are on the NBI for Caldecote up to 1900, and for Folksworth up to 1800
The unreadable name in 1851, if Karenlee is still looking, looks like Sharlot to me.
David

David, Thanks v. much for the info. about the LDS, there is a centre about 8 miles from me and I shall contact them as soon as Xmas is over.
The family name I`m interested in is Jinks. I have the fiches for Caldecote and Folkesworth and have found quite a few entries for the name but I cannot tie it in with my lot yet, though I`m convinced they are connected in such a small area and with such an unusual name.
I do know my GGG grandfather was baptised in 1802 in Lutton but need to work back from him. Will certainly try the LDS at first opportunity. Again, many thanks, Serafina

oops soory, sent a bit too soon. Meant to say I was interested in the Jacksons from Washingley, especially William (and Ruth) b.1806. Does anyone know the relationships between the Jacksons in 1841 i.e. Joseph (75), the 2 Williams (35 and 36), Thomas (35) and John (35).
