The Young Family..
« on: Friday 15 September 06 16:09 BST (UK) »

Hello all,I am researching the Young family,I would be most grateful if anyone can help me on this.I need to find a William Young, born about 1920 in Londonderry but the family moved to Nottingham,he was a captain in the army and served with the desert rats,he was 1st a sargeant with the 9th (Londonderry) Heavy anti-aircraft regiment,Royal Artillery,I have a picture of him in it,I think they were known as the Derry boys,he was then transferred to the Sherwood Forresters as a captain, his father was Alexander Young (Sandy)
and his mother was Rebecca Young (nee Rankin),he lived in a street in Londonderry   Bannock or Barrock street?..any help would be appreciated..Billy
