Kate is too similar to the background of the photo and has blended in with it so much that she has almost disappeared.  Can you lift her out?  If you are going to colourise her, can you use delicate and pale colours please?

WOW!  That's wonderful!  I can do a bit of image editing myself (have PSP) but haven't mastered all its functions yet. 

You have colourised it just as I wanted it!  Thank you so much.  I really appreciate this and the delicate way you have colourised her.  For interest she was my grandfather's sister and died at the age of 25 after giving birth to her second child.    Cry  This lovely treatment of Kate's photograph means a lot to me!  Smiley

She's a lovely lady! So we couldn't leave her to fade away!

(It was a group effort - me and Neat Image, and PhotoFiltre and corel photo-paint7.) And I could have used some of the tools in photoshop elements4, but my 30 day trial lapsed.  Cool

I do hope you get some other bites on this one so that you have a choice.
