can anyone cheer the old dears up please?

This is a picture of my great grandparents in the garden of their home. Can anyone help to improve/cheer them up a bit please?

Here's my clean up and a coloured one below.  I could just about smell the roses as I was doing it.  Don't care what anyone says, nothing beats an English garden (or pub for that matter  Tongue Grin Grin)

Good to scan at 300-600 dpi very very bad to over compress your images.
