SARGEANT/SARGENT
« on: Sunday 22 October 06 18:34 BST (UK) »

Hi:

Can anyone find Thomas SARGENT b. 1800 with wife Susanna and children Elizabeth 1828, Harriet 1831, Eliza 1833, Caroline 1836 and Fanny 1839 in Peterchurch/Vowchurch area in the 1841 and or 1851 census?

By 1861 Thomas has remarried to Mary.  Can anyone find them in 1871?

Thank you, Linda

That's brilliant - thank you to both of you!  I wonder if Fanny is living with the Mary that Thomas is married to by 1861?  I will have to do some more digging on this family.

Just one more request - can anyone find Caroline b 1836 in the 1861 census?  By 1871 she is living in Doncaster, Yorkshire, spinster - she marries my gg grandfather William there in 1872.  Often wondered what made her leave a small village in Herefordshire to end up in a large one in Yorkshire - work?

Thank you, Linda

Thomas Sergeant married Mary Randall in Peterchurch in 1855.

There were a couple of Mary Randalls in Peterchurch on the 1851 census, one aged 25 and one aged 50.
