Hello, Can anyone help with this problem please, I have two brother's, John & William Suggett, both had two daughter's & gave them both the same name's of Annie and Maud, I am looking for the marriage of these girls whose father was William, I have not found the marriage of Maud but for Annie I have found a marriage in 1902, to either James Ernest Wittrick, & Montagu Taylor, in Islington, is it possible for anyone to do a lookup please to see who Annie married & if she belongs to William or John Suggett, have been trying for awhile to sort this one out, so any help, I would be gratful for Jenny NZ

look forwards in the birth indexes. Post 1910 or so Mother's maiden names will appear.
However to see which annie it was , you would have to buy the marriage certificate.

On FreeBMD Annie Suggett is listed with both James Ernest Wittrick and Montagu Taylor for Islington, Vol 1b, Page 450 and Maud is listed with Frederick Bunce and John Cooke for Islington, Vol 1b, Page 445.
However this doesn't help you figure out who is with whom.
Yes it can, use the maiden name info from the GRO indexes after 1911. The names are not so very common. The fourth name (the other woman) should be useful to this end also.

Hi Jenny
No, GRO = General Register Office ie. the BMD index. Go to http://www.ancestry.co.uk and choose the "view image" option rather than the partial BMD index on there.
As you know, there are four quarters per year, this function allows you to view (not search) each quarter separately.
