Hi Alison, that's great. Thanks for helping out. I have been quiet on the genealogy front for a few months and things are pretty crazy family-wise up until Xmas for me, so I am happy to wait until you have a digital camera as it should be alot easier for you then -
Hope santa gets you a nice camera for Xmas cheers Cas

I FOUND IT! i went out the other day looking for it but the weather got too bad so i came back as i had my new camera with me and didnt want it getting wet....this morning i just thought id wander through on way back from post box and there it was! of course - no camera or notebook! Its covered in those algae splodges lol so i think a photo will be hard to read...there is another gavin stone in there too - again hard to read cos of the mottled colour stone its on - u want that too? Ooh yes please - gravestones are often enlightening and I don't think Gavin is a common surname. I have broadband and my email is e-mail address removed to prevent spamming and other abuse.
thanks! Cas

hi a long time ago - earlier this year i found this gravestone but must have forgot to post it for you! im really sorry about that - but here it is now. Its covered in lichen and quite difficult to read. Im sure i wrote down the inscription by hand in one of my notebooks too - im in process of going through research notebooks and tearing any irrelevant pages out so i will undoubtedly come accross it! Can you pm me your email please cos i have a few shots of the stone and some other Gavin stones in that churchyard that i took at the same time
