I am researching STANWORTHS also in Shropshire.
My Thomas Stanworth was baptised in Wombridge
on 30.4.1809, son of Richard Stanworth & Elizabeth AMIS.

I'm also related to these Stanworths. I believe Richard Stanworth was son of John Stanworth and Eleanor (Hughes), baptised 14 Aug 1776 in Wrockwardine. He had at least 3 brothers -- James, William and Charles -- of which I am descended from William (bap. 13 Jan 1782, Wellington). William married Elizabeth Minors 18 Mar 1805 in Wrockwardine and had at least 3 children of which my 3G Grandfather was John Stanworth, bap. 28 Feb 1808 in Wombidge.

I should correct my previous statements. Based on discussions with other Stanworth researchers, my John Stanworth (born in 1808, Shifnal) was son of Charles Stanworth and Alice (Newel). Unfortunately, there is no baptism record for John (to Charles and Alice at least) so I am not 100% sure of this. Likewise, there is no baptism record for Charles (bc.1785).
