I am thrilled for you, keep me posted when your certificates arrive! I have just looked on http://www.genesreunited.co.uk and John A Noys is there and Simon and James have left their names you could contact them they could be relatives and if you are really lucky may have photographs

hi irret, i tried to get in contact with simon and james on gr on the sunject of noys but couldnt as my membership has lapsed. my mum says to her knowledge there isnt a simon noys in our family but hey there is also a possiabilty eh? on one of the census's 1891 showing my my nans dad john noys born 1887 aged 4 on that census it also shows john coot aged 67 born 1824? i assuming that that is margaret noys's father as her maiden name is coot? what do you think? many many thanks for everything caz

Have contacted genes all we have to do is wait I have just looked again and Simon has left his name by Margaret Coot born 1851 Shoreditch and is down with John Coot 1826 Shoreditch.

HI Suegill, he's down as a boarder could he be father in law help paying with rent theyfore a boarder ie ill health etc? i dont have much experation of census's this whole topic is a huge larning curve for me many thanks caz
hi irret , my mum said 'coot' was a name mum had heard but didnt know if/were it fitted in it was my suspesion that john coot was releted by way of a maiden name by now im not sure still new to most of the census parts!! many thanks for all your help/advice and ideas.

omg omg how fantastic irret i owe you a few pints or choccie your choice !! my partner has just told me to stop jumping up and down as the neighbour might cart me off !!! lol i never thought i would get even close to this far back what a exciting hobby wow oh right wow ok i have a cuppa how fantastic if i didnt know my mum was in bed i would phone her how excellent is that , oh shock over im going to run outta of paper my nan had 11 sisters and brother s and grandad 16 brothers and sisters
i just emailed simon i didnt ask for a copy of said photo as i didnt want to take the p so to speak huge huge thanks for everything you have been so helpful wow thank you again caz
