You didn't ask for it but in 1930 they are still in Fairfield, Sauk except for Stewart. Now they have an "adopted daughter" in the household.
Mary age 9, born Wisconsin, parents born unknown US
Also Jean Streisack, age 15, Ward lodger born Wisconsin, parents born Russia
...and Dorwin Button, servant, age 18, born Wisconsin, occupation Labour General Farm
Hope this helps
Agnes
Sorry, our post's must have crossed. 1930 is the latest census available.
I will look for any other info regarding the Secker's

Hi Adrian
I have just found Charles and Almena in the 1970 census living in Baraboo, Sauk, Wisconsin but the image is very feint and difficult to read. Looks like they have a son John age 4 and also in the household is John 78 and Esther? 76 Secker both born England, plus William Palmer age is either 19 or 49 born Pennsylvania.
I will download the image to see if I can retrieve any other detail

Glad to be of help Adrian,
Tried to find either John or Carl but no luck unfortunately, the same with Stewart Palmer.
Not sure if you have this but here they are in 1880 living in Baraboo, Sauk, Wisconsin
Charles Secker, age 43, Brick maker Almena, wife, age 40, keeping house John J, son, age 13, at school Almena C, daughter, age 9, at school Nellie E, daughter, age 7, at school John, father, age 89
Boarders
Deimes? Henry, age 24, Albert age 16, Charles age 18 and Frank Dean age 21, all work in Brick Yard
Also found Nellie in 1900, living in Fairfield, Sauk, Wisconsin
James Palmer, born April 1866, married for 4 years Nellie, born Aug 1872 Philip, born Aug 1896
So at least you now know that the child who died was Philip!
Also cannot find Almina nee Secker in any of the census's from 1910 onward but I see that you have another look up request for her, so hopefully someone else will have more luck.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Best wishes
Agnes
