Hi Marlene
I think your G-father George Frederick was perhaps the younger brother of my GG-father, Francis Augustus. 1871 Census has your George Frederick, aged 14 (i.e. born ca. 1857-58) living Unicorn Hill with parents Francis 38 and Ann 38. Francis Augustus married Mary Ann Moberley 1871 and my G-father George Frederick born 1873.
Been to Warwick Records today. Parish register shows birth Benjamin as 02 Sept 1812 and baptism 06 Sept 1812, but listed as illegitimate son of Ann Baylis. How did you trace Ann's ancestors to Redditch and back to Bidford?
Regards

GaryYes my G-father George Frederick was the younger brother of Francis Agustus, (he married twice) (1) Mary Ann Mobberley & Mary Hatton. As it was about 15years ago that I got so far back there was really only the IGI, I will try and go through it all again this weekend now things have quietened down a little.George Frederick b.1853-1854, Francis Agustus 1855, Ann Elizabeth Florence 1856, George Frederick 1858, James Benjamin 1860, John 1862, Thomas William, 1864, Frederick Alfred Collins 1867, Victor 1869, Edgar 1872, Edith Lusiana 1876,Frank Joseph 1878. You can see why I have not investigated all the family 12 in that generation.  11 in Florence Elizabeth`s my grandmother`s generation.Marlene

Gary,
A cousin of my mothers copied all the Baylis bap.marr.& deaths from the Mormon Library at Crabbs Cross, Redditch, when it was open, it has been closed for a good many years now, but I am working on it.
