Hi Pettsy your best bet would be to contact the Archivist at Clydebank Public Library-they have archive copies of the Newspapers of the time. She was able to find the obti.for my Great-Uncle Thomas Waddell & what was even better was the photo of him which I had never seen. They lived in Dalmuir which is the next village up from OK.I think it was the Clydebank Post. If no joy try the Archives in Dunbarton.

Hi Joette
Thank you. I think I did e mail Clydebank Local Library last year, I will e mail again. And try the Archives at Dunbarton.
I have got the obituary of my great grandfather, with a photo (I already had a photo of him) from the Glasgow Evening Times. But they have nothing on the other brothers yet.
I would have thought there would be something in the local paper about all the brothers being killed.
Thank you.
PS I order those poor reliefs apps from the Mitchell, the ref for the letter was on one, but the letter has not survived
Pettsy

I would phone them as I did & they looked whilst I waited. As there are not too many Munns it shouldn't take long-I had a date too which speeded up the process. Not surprised re the Poor Relief records as I have found so many "loose" bits hanging around the pages. I am going up in a couple of weeks if you give me names, dates i will pop into Library & do some digging!-Clydebank one I mean.

Hi Joette Who did you ring, Clydebank?
I have five names of brothers, Munn's and dates of their deaths, and where they died, where and when they were born etc... Shall I send you that? I cannot believe they all died, we know of 4 and it seems the last brother died too.
Thank you Joette.

Hi Joette, Hi pettsy,
Can I be cheeky and add one of my Great Uncles to the list of WW1 Soldiers for a look up when you go to the Clydebank library?
Richard Stewart of the Jenny House, Duntocher, died October 30, 1915, Private - 18481, 2nd Bn., Highland Light Infantry, killed in action in Pas De Calais, France

Sorry for taking so long but I did have a look for all & found zilch. The only thing I found out was that the Jenny House was mainly lived in by the workers & their families of the Mill which was there. The building/houses are no more. 1915 seemed to be a particularly bad year for column inches in the paper. I searched from 1914-1917 but nothing.
