Hi

I'm trying to find out the final resting place of my gggf William Edward Price. Although born in Warminster, he spent most of his adult life in central Bristol until he died in Q2 1901 at the age of 51. At the time of his death he was living at 126 Goodhind Street (off Pennywell Road). If anyone has access to any info that would allow me to locate this person I'd be very grateful.

Hi,

Welcome to Rootschat!  You could try contacting the local authority and asking if he is buried in any of the cemeteries they control.  Some authorities do make a charge for this information but so far I have been lucky with the London ones and have not been asked to pay!

He might also have been buried in his local churchyard or possibly cremated.

Have you asked the older members of your family if they have any information that might help?  At one time memorial cards were popular; these can  give info on where the person was buried.  I have one for my grandfather who died in 1961.
