I am looking for the baptism of Elizabeth Drewitt who married at Crawley in 1827. I presume she was born somewhere 1800 - 1810.
Her husband came from Westerham, Kent but as they married in Crawley I presume Elizabeth must have come from Crawley.
If anyone can help I would be most grateful
Kerry

Can't see any Drewitts buried in Crawley
A William Drewitt m Elizabeth Gavine in Goring, W Sussex 12 Apr 1819 (no other info).
A William Drewitt (widower of Littlehampton) m Elizabeth Burtenshaw (widow) 15 Oct 1814 in Steyning, by licence - the licence gives both their ages as 40. Elizabeth had been in Steyning for 4 weeks, while William had lived in Littlehampton for 6 months - allegedly.
Don't know if that helps

I have just had a look at the census returns for her, she died before 1861. However the 1841 and 1851 she appears to have been born 1807/1808, Edenbridge on the 1851.
So the second one is not likely.
I wonder why William Terry and Elizabeth married in Crawley? He came from Westerham. Hmmm Definitely needs investigation.

My instincts may have been right on this one, just got a birth certificate for one of the children and maiden name of Elizabeth is Heath.
