Can anyone help please.  Searching for marriage of Joseph Stevenson b 1830 Ruddington.   According to Census 1861 was Married to Lucy ....? (with two children) Have checked on Ancestry for marriage, no Lucy  Sad   Also checked IGI to no avail!  Am I missing something here!  Huh

I found the following but it doesn't give details of anyone else!  Sad

Looking at the actual image for the first marriage, I think the reference is 7b 225. Searching March quarter 1858 Nottingham for reference 7b 225, there is a Lucy Cook listed ...

Page: 22[35] means that the transcriber couldn't decide whether the last digit was a 3 or a 5. When this is the case, always have a look at the actual image to decide for yourself (and it seems the images available to us are often better than the ones the transcribers have access to).

Then just enter the quarter, year, registration district and reference into the search engine and see who pops up.
