Hi Regy 
I have a Tranter, so thought I would share
I have a Martha Smart (c1829) marrying a Thomas Tranter in Ross Herefordshire in 1850. Thomas was born probably born about 1805 in Ross, according to census. I believe he had a sister Maria and brother William. Their parents may have been Joseph and Mary Tranter. Thomas was quite a bit older than Martha and the family seemed to go through some hard times after 1875, when I believe Thomas died.

I'm very interested in the Traunter family as one of mine - Christopher Child, a butcher of London, married Johanna. Born in 1572 in Titley, Hereford, England. When Christopher died in 1630, he left the responsibility of looking after his children to his brother arthur and his brother in law Simon who he also named as an executor of his will. From Simon's will, it is clear that he wasn't altogether happy about this extra financial burden and that some rift had occured between himself and his sister. I'm trying to find out where Joanne and her daughters went after her husband Christopher died. Would love to hear from anyone connected to this family to find out more about them.
