Thimbleby Osmotherley
« on: Sunday 07 November 04 20:22 GMT (UK) »

Can any one help, my genealogy family Lodge lived and worked as flour millers at Thimbleby, then called Foxtons Mill owner John Oliver 1890,  Lee Henry owner in 1834, I have gone back in time and in 1771 Fransis Lodge was born there. So it seems that we have been flour millers at the above, maybe before the 1700s through to 1900s  does any one know of this mill, and if any Lodges are still living in the area, and who was Fransis Family.  Huh
                  many thanks

I should think your Francis Lodge is the one baptised at Kirby Fleetham - 7 Oct 1772  (father Henry Lodge)....

LDS website -- Batch No. P 015071   there are numerous children with the father Henry.....

K.Fleetham is close to Osmotherly

Hi
Great news Francis Lodge was my Grandfathers (John Lodge) Grandfather, so it means that the Henry Lodge was in fact my Grandfathers, Great Grandfather.
It does sound quite confusing, but if you could send all Lodges that you have or maybe you could tell me how to get the information as you say there are numerous children, also are any mothers mentioned.
                   Thank you for your help

I've sent you a PM with my Email address in.  I have lots of Lodges in North Yorkshire on the NBI2.
