Can anyone tell me if I can find any details about accidents at factories.
Fred Partington - born 1870 in Ivybridge - found him in 1871 and 1881 and 1901 census - but not yet in 1891. He drank Vitriol (sulphuric acid I think) by mistake when young - from Allen's paper mill in Ivybrige - they employed him (and father and sister) till he died in Oct 1912. Maybe it was not reported in those days - but thought it might be interesting to find if details handed down to me were correct!
Any help appreciated
Cheers Keith

Thanks for that is does clear up a gap - and confirms he was a clerk - non of this is listed on the FreeCen search for Devon which states it 95% done - so mine must be in the other 5%!!
I'm beginning to find that the details are more interesting than just the bare facts - now was he working at the Allen's paper mill like his father and brother?
Thanks again for that
Cheers Keith
