When you reply, Jan, don't you get a 'merched' in the send to box? A few people have commented on it to me
Still - you've got my e-mail address and know all my family history anyway
And by the way, it was that thread of yours that generated my name - Gadget Applebiscuit, I remember.
Since then I'm getting more and a more like this virtual person

Hi All,
more info here,
Topic: Changing your RootsChat name http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,158039.0.html
When you apply to join RootsChat, you specify a user-name ('XYZ') and this name then appears in your profile. You can change the name in your profile as often as you wish (*) and this will then appear in all your postings (new and old), but your official name will still be 'XYZ' and will appear in the "To:" field of PM's or in the Chatroom. To change this, you have to send a PM to Trystan.
Bob
(*) Please don't do it often, it confuses everybody (but it's a good idea to change to a 'nom de plume' if you have registered using your full name)

Getting back to my Roots.
|
Thanks Bob for that.....but still not having any luck trying to enter names in the SIT......I either get the 'Chatter ID' thing still, or, having only typed my Surname (GILBY), County and Town into the Form, I get a message saying 'Only one name at a time'!!??.... or words to that effect.....
Someone lead me by the hand or (the ear) please...
Regards, Michael72.
