Could someone please look up 1871 Census Gislingham, Suffolk. William Elliott age approx 22 birthplace Gislingham, Suffolk his address in 1881 was Rush Green Gislingham.

Hi JJ unable to locate a Wiliam claiming birth in Gislingham in 1871 census. I tried 81 to c if there may have been some clues there re family...I c his wife is from Norfolk so if he was over the border in Norfolk in 1871. I tried 1891 to c if he was listed there as born Gislingham which he is although he is in Yorkshire. I will get the discs out and try 61 for Gislingham later and c if I can locate him..I will post 91 4 u since I looked it up anyway lol... in case u dont have it

Yes I believe there are quite a few children, I have located on the IGI these christenings
1833 Hannah Fa George Mo Elizabeth
1836 Maria Fa George Mo Elizabeth Hudson
1837 Sophia Fa George Mo Elizabeth Hudson
1838 Thomas Fa George Mo Elizabeth Hudson
1851 William Fa George Mo Elizabeth
1855 Samuel Fa George Mo Elizabeth Hudson
then Sophia#2, Anne, and Martha all chr 7 Sept 1856
George Elliott Married Elizabeth Hudson 19 Jan 1831
Because of the range of dates between the christenings and there being two sophia's I am trying to distinguish whether George and Elizabeth are one couple or two different couples with the same names. I was also hoping to find a name of Williams first wife as Mary Ann Worm was his second marriage(21 Mar 1880) According to William's marriage cert his Father was George Elliott ,occ Labourer, (it doesn't state he was deceased??Can you suggest where I might look for the death of George? since it does look like he was deceased by 1861) I believe his brother Samuel married a Sarah Ann Worm but on the 1881 census he is married to an Ann E  (also living at Rush Green Gislingham) who was also from Hainford in Norfolk as was Mary Ann Worm and she also had a sister Sarah Ann.
I am new to this Forum and hope I am not asking too much, I really appreciate what you have given me so far and soooo quickly!!

Your thanks are appreciated JJ....I can c that u have been working on this.
In all homesty I think the best thing I can do 4 u from here, is bow out and leave it to my mate Rick to carry on... when he is available to help of course... as he is much more knowledgeable with what it is u hope to find, and can, I am sure, take u further or at the very least point u in the right direction 4 help.
